Hot Metal

Sheet Metal Quality: S235JR-S275-S355 etc.
Coil Widths: 1000-1200-1250-1500 mm
Product Type: Slitting, Cut-to-Length, Coil, Strip, Plate

Hot-rolled steel, made from chemically adjusted liquid steel, is formed into slabs in continuous casting plants (casting into ingot molds is no longer common in our country) and then needs to be rolled. Slabs, usually 200-250 mm thick, 800-1800 mm wide, and 6000-12000 mm long, are rolled to the target thickness in hot rolling mills. For this, the slab is heated to the rolling temperature in heating furnaces, then rough-rolled (20-50 mm), and then passed through a series of rollers for final rolling. Flat steel, which exits the rolling mill at 850-940°C, is cooled with water and then wound into coils, mostly at 580-750°C. After the coils reach room temperature, they are shipped as coils or slit and cut to size, according to the customer's request.
