The Hot Rolled Coil, whose surface scale has been removed by pickling, is rolled to the target thickness by passing through a reversible mill or a tandem mill (4–5 stand mill) in order to obtain a thinner thickness. However, the sheet in this condition is brittle and hard (CRF-CCRF "full hard"). In order to form the sheet, it is annealed by heating and cooling up to a certain temperature in Continuous Annealing or Batch Annealing facilities. To improve the mechanical and surface properties of the annealed sheet, a small amount of skin pass (temper rolling) is applied. The required tests are performed on the sample taken and its compliance with the requested properties is checked. The tempered sheet is delivered to the customer as a coil or, upon request, as slit or cut-to-length sheets.
